Andrew facilitating a group session

abc dynamics. is my consulting practice for mission-driven organizations. Through it, I help organizations unlock what they haven't been able to unlock on their own, and build from there.

The teams I work with best have hit a wall. They have a complex problem they can't solve internally: a conversation that hasn't happened, a vision that won't come into language, a culture that isn't matching its own aspirations, or a transition that needs more than a new org chart. What they need is someone who isn't inside the system, with the skills to hold what's hard, ask what hasn't been asked, and help them name what they've been circling around. I take on a small number of engagements each year, so that each one gets the depth it deserves.

The four engagements below are positions on a journey, and where you are shapes what you need.

If you're not sure which fits, reach out and tell me what you're working on.

The Work

The Map

For clarifying where you're going

You can commission a strategic plan from almost anyone; what's harder to find is someone who will ask the questions that don't have obvious answers before the plan gets written. The work I do is both linear and lateral: I can write a SWOT analysis and build a roadmap, and I can also sit with complexity, help you find the right frame, and make sure direction was shaped by real listening rather than assumption. What you leave with is a working document your board, your funders, and your team can build from. Let's figure out where you're going.

The Invitation

For organizations ready to reach further

The most important story your organization tells isn't in its mission statement; it's in the experience of being in community with you, and whether that experience reflects the invitation you're extending to others. Cultural humility is the practice of examining that gap honestly, returning again and again to a central question: Is the community we aspire to build the same one people actually experience? Because communities evolve, and so must the way you meet them. Let's work together to make sure you're reaching the people you want to reach.

The Turn

When you know something's shifted but aren't sure what's next

Transitions are rarely as clean as the announcements make them sound. Beneath the official narrative is a set of conversations that haven't happened yet: what's actually being lost, what the new chapter genuinely requires, who the organization is in the process of becoming. This engagement creates space for that harder work. Whether you're navigating a leadership change, a strategy pivot, or a restructure that changes more than the org chart, let's name the uncertainty so you and your team can build from a place of clarity.

The Arc

For when you need more than an agenda

Most organizations plan events. They set agendas, book venues, bring in speakers, and produce experiences that happen to people rather than ones that change them. The Arc starts from a different question: what needs to be true when this experience ends, and what will it take to get there. Because I design and facilitate, the facilitation is built into the architecture, not layered on top of it; when something real emerges in the room, it emerges from the conditions we create, not from a script. Let's design something your people will still be talking about a year from now.

A Note on Pricing

I work at a consistent rate. Most clients find that we can design something meaningful within it once we understand what you actually need and what your organization can take on. Every engagement starts with a conversation, and nothing gets scoped, priced, or contracted until we're both clear and comfortable.
